The Manor Health and Racquets Club, Ilkeston, proved an ideal venue for the grand finale of the squash and racketball season at the Derbyshire County Cup Finals on 24th and 25th April. A large crowd enjoyed the feast of racket sports and saw the Air-IT sponsored Manor teams excel and win both the Men’s Squash and Racketball finals, much to the delight of their enthusiastic supporters.

Keen squash and racketball enthusiasts Todd McQuilkin and James Healey, from Air-IT, competed in the finals with James being in the winning team for both men’s events. For further information about the County Cup Finals please see the Derby Telegraph’s news article.

Air-IT have recently agreed a sponsorship deal with the Manor Health and Racquets Club, which includes sponsorship of both the Men’s 1st and 2nd Squash and Racketball teams. The sponsorship deal also includes advertising boards promoting Air-IT’s services on the 5 recently refurbished championship courts and the development of a new club website.

Air-IT has been closely associated with squash in the East Midlands for several years. The firm have sponsored the David Lloyd Aspley squash team and are currently in the second year of a three-year sponsorship deal with the Nottinghamshire Squash Racquets Association. This includes sponsorship of the Nottinghamshire Squash League, the prestigious County Cup and the development and maintenance of a results-based web site.

The event was attended by in excess of 250 Salon owners and trainees and showcased an NVQ level 3 Hairshow and graduation for learners, along with a charity raffle and auction. Air-IT were able to demonstrate Salonwave to the delegates that attended where it gained a very positive reception.
